We are ordering in from Danny's Bagels here in a while for some "real American food" and hope to just have some more time playing on the floor before she goes off the bed. Making more progress both physically and certainly coming out of her shell more. Today has been a joy to hear her become more vocal and laugh spontaneously at herself while she is playing... seeing more progress and she is reaching outside of her comfort zone (literally) reaching out for things and people... (daddy got his first voluntary "kisses" today!)
Will let the video speak to the rest of the progress and tell the story from the clinic, but today has certainly been a confirmation/affirmation of the many prayers from the past few months. Just seeing the light and spark behind her eyes while she plays, investigates, giggles, and interacts with mommy is all her daddy needs to see to know what we're dealing with...
Much to still be done to catch up on delays?
Yes.
Were prayers for a reality greater than the potential projected over her in writing heard above? Yes.
Does He still hear AND answer our cries?
Go ask Him and see for yourself - my latest answer's asleep in the other room by her mom.

PS - This film was a little longer and had to compress it down quite a bit for size so "pease fogive" for quality of images. Just imagine you're watching old reel-to-reel tapes and you'll be fine. We just really wanted you to experience all of our day at the clinic and hope it is not lost in translation! (The first cuts of Part 1 are the quick bits I mentioned we caught yesterday morning...)

That was EXACTLY what happened to us when we brought Noelle to the clinic!!!! We had the same doctor you all had too. They took us to the other room by ourselves and had three other doctors in there chatting amongst themselves in Chinese. They had to pull our guide, Liniker, into the room and ask him tons of questions. Noelle's SN was developmental delay also. The entire video was just like being there again ......freaky : ) But God is good and they signed our papers and we were out of there! Adiah's beautiful and looks like she's doing wonderful!

Okay - sitting here, laughing and crying in the Spirit, praising our Lord! You are so right - her special need is needin' some good loving, straight from God through you. And soon - through all of us waiting for her. First steps, crawling, laughs, smiling, 21 lbs. YAY!!!!!!!!
That is crazy! I know you must have been so nervous. Thank you Lord. She'll be chasing everyone around in no time.
After 2 years of watching countless families receive their children and then watching those children slowly react and thrive in just being loved individually you would think that I'd get used to it. I don't, however and it is especially amazing watching this little girl do that with her new family. It's a testament to what love can do to a persons life. Thanks for the extensive video of the medical exam....I feel more prepared. And Yikes! Was that stressful or what!?
Amen, she's not special needs. Praise God that they are agreeing with heaven! Amy, we prayed a long time ago that the Lord would PRESERVE HER FIRST MOMENTS for YOU! And hello, the girl has taken her FIRST steps with you guys! How many other firsts have you been able to witness?! Tons I'm sure! See she's not delayed! The Lord was preserving her so YOU would get to be the teacher and experience new things. She's grow and develope like a weed now, in the name of Jesus!
